Ranging from two-bedroom apartments through to large executive four-bedroom family detached homes, Bryn Heulog (meaning Sunny Hill in English) will also feature a range of green spaces, cycle paths and a purpose-built play area

With hundreds of potential buyers actively looking for homes built by Beech Developments and a waiting list for their latest development already in place, Managing Director, Matthew Gilmartin said there was a clear need for homes of this type in Conwy County.

Matthew said: “We are delighted to be starting work and bring our plans to fruition at Bryn Heulog. We have received a high volume of calls during the last twelve months about the Deganwy development, with many local first-time buyers looking to take their first steps onto the property ladder showing a real desire to move to be close to work, their family’s and good schools. It’s great to finally be able to share this news with them. The site is positioned perfectly for commuter links to Llandudno, Conwy and surrounding towns and has close links to the A470 and A55 Expressway”

Many of the homes at Bryn Heulog will qualify for the government backed Help to Buy-Wales scheme, which provides a shared equity loan to home buyers.

As well as providing quality sustainable market homes, Beech Developments will also be supporting the local economy by hiring in the skills of local tradespeople and sourcing materials from local businesses wherever possible.

Thirty percent of the new properties will also be offered to those in need of affordable homes, as Beech Developments enters into another partnership with North Wales’ largest social housing provider Adra (formerly CCG), following the huge success of their joint working at Cae’r Ysgol, Caernarfon.

Ffrancon Williams, Chief Executive of Adra, said: “As the largest housing association in north Wales, we are passionate about ensuring people have a great home and the support they need to live and thrive in their communities. We are delighted to have partnered with Beech on the Bryn Heulog development.”

Many of the affordable properties at the new Deganwy site will be two and three-bedroom family homes, designed by the in-house architectural team at Beech Developments, which employs 27 people at its base at Anson House, Llandudno Junction.

The house-types will be similar to those recently constructed at Llys Marl, Llandudno Junction such as the Rhuddlan, the Chirk and the Pembroke.

This site will also see the introduction of the brand-new Denbigh four-bedroom executive detached home which has been specifically designed for Bryn Heulog.

Matthew added: “Building sustainable quality homes of the future is our mission and we are looking forward to bringing more of these homes to the people of North Wales over the next decade.”

The site is due for completion in 2022.
